I investigated the Founder, so you don’t have to
First Thoughts: When I first saw this app being pushed on Appsumo's recommendations via notifications, I honestly thought it was a godsend. FINALLY, as I intend to embark on ̶a̶ ̶j̶o̶u̶r̶n̶e̶y̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶l̶o̶s̶e̶ ̶a̶l̶l̶ ̶m̶y̶ ̶s̶o̶c̶i̶a̶l̶ ̶c̶o̶n̶n̶e̶c̶t̶i̶o̶n̶s̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶n̶e̶x̶t̶ ̶f̶e̶w̶ ̶y̶e̶a̶r̶s̶ building another new business and AppSumo delivered an Automation tool (No Code even!) to my lap. Arrival on the page: Right as I arrived, and began reading through all the functions and different deal plans, something caught my eye. The CEO of AppSumo, Chief Sumo, Noah Kagan actually came down to give TaskMagic an endorsement that he didn't have to do. I have not been on AppSumo long, perhaps 2-3 years? But this is the first time I have seen Chief Sumo actually go out of his way to endorse and defend an LTD, which got me thinking, that this must have been quite a big deal. I combed through all current listings on Plus Exclusive, including some of the past deals that I have bought. None of them did I even see Chief Sumo appear! (Although yes, there were some reviews early which sparked a controversy, Chief Sumo didn't have to go out of his way to personally clear the air. Any of his staff could have done that.) Researching: This was when I went and started searching for any content that is on their website regarding roadmap, FAQs, tutorials, etc. which made me chance upon Jeremy Redman's YouTube Channel. I admit I was a little skeptical going into the playlist; he mentioned at the beginning that he was going to build the business in Public. Lemme tell you something, this founder has balls. (and the brains & action to back it up) I tore through all two hundred and forty-nine episodes (to date) to see what exactly he meant by building TaskMagic in Public, and I went from Skeptic to a Raving Fan. The journey on which the content he made does no attempt at sugarcoating & is really the journey on how he builds TaskMagic [he does sidetrack quite a bit lol]. Which company do you know dares to do a support helpdesk in public for the whole world to see? Final Thoughts: For the people who are worried about LTD teams doing a hit & run, I have seen Jeremy putting Blood, Sweat, Tears, Dedication, and Effort into building the product, pitching customers, doing backend support, trying to secure funding, continuously building AND putting up content on top of all that. I am a YouTuber Manager for a few client channels and I do my own content so I know how tough it actually is. His team, from what I have seen to date, is equally impressive. His VP of sales and CTO, Vince and Kyle. has given impressive support helpdesk and churning out solutions and new automation at lightning speed. This is the kind of power team you want working on an LTD that you have purchased! To Jeremy: Yes, I am Zeilvergaming, and I have finally reached the present day of building a business in public. Keep up the good work, you are an inspiration!
